Technology with purpose: educating for the common good in the age of algorithms
How can we make sense of technological change moving at such a rapid pace?

Artificial intelligence and digitalisation are reshaping education and society, creating new opportunities while also raising significant risks and deeper questions.

The challenge for schools is to integrate technology with foresight, responsibility, and a long‑term perspective. At Changing Education Together 2026, we create a space to reflect on how to educate in the age of algorithms, placing learning, values, and people at the heart of the conversation.

Join the conversation

We bring together the education community, public institutions, researchers, the edtech sector, and social organisations to reflect collectively on how to educate in the age of algorithms. A space to share perspectives, compare approaches, and explore how artificial intelligence can truly serve the common good.

Date: Thursday, 5 March 2025
Time: 10:00 - 13:00 h
Venue: Stage Principal - MWC26, Barcelona

Beyond the algorithmic noise

CET 2026 is a space to explore governance and purpose. At a time when AI has become embedded in both the educational and social fabric, it is vital to move from reactive responses to intentional and principled leadership.
The event offers a perspective grounded in the daily reality of schools, acknowledging teacher fatigue and student vulnerability. It focuses on what strengthens the system—support, evidence, and collective memory—to safeguard what makes education possible: the human connection.

I'm interested

Three shared perspectives for education with purpose

The horizon: vision and trust. Public authorities must build safe frameworks that support teachers’ work and ensure technology serves the educational mission.
The engine: rigour and collaboration. Researchers, the digital sector, and institutions join forces to offer evidence-based solutions grounded in values.
The heartbeat: connection in the classroom. School leaders and teachers explore how to integrate AI responsibly, ensuring it supports learning without losing what matters most: personal connection.
